In short
- Snake Shift has no accounts and no servers of its own. Your progress stays on your phone.
- The game shows ads from Google AdMob. To show them, Google and its partners may collect information from your device, such as your IP address and your advertising ID. We do not receive that information.
- You choose whether to watch rewarded ads. You can reset your advertising ID at any time, and where the law requires it the game asks for your consent first.
- The game is made for people aged 13 and over.
1. Introduction
Snake Shift ("the game") is a free Android arcade game made by TSR Mobile Labs ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the game and the services built into it use, why they use it, and what choices you have.
It applies to the Snake Shift app on Android. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the game.
2. Information collected
What we collect ourselves
Nothing. We do not run any server for the game. There are no accounts or sign-in, and the game does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, address or location. The game has no analytics or tracking tool of our own, so we do not receive personal information about you.
What the advertising service collects
The game includes Google's advertising software. It is the only part of the game that uses the internet to collect information about your device. That information goes to Google and its advertising partners, not to us. Sections 3 to 6 explain what it is.
What we may receive
- Reports with totals from Google AdMob, for example how many ads were shown and how much they earned. These are not about individual people.
- If your phone is set to share usage and diagnostics data with Google, Google Play may give us anonymous crash and performance statistics for the game.
- Emails you send us. See Contact us.
3. Advertising and Google AdMob
Snake Shift is free and is supported by ads from Google AdMob, a service of Google LLC. Ads appear in two ways: a banner at the bottom of the main menu (there is no banner while you play), and optional rewarded ads (section 4).
For advertising, analytics (such as measuring how ads perform) and fraud prevention, Google and its partners can collect and use information from your device. Google describes the data collected by its Mobile Ads software like this:
- IP address, which can give a rough idea of where you are.
- How you use the app and the ads, for example app launches, taps and video views.
- Diagnostic information, for example app launch time, hang rate and energy use.
- Device and other identifiers, such as your Android advertising ID and an app set ID.
Google states that this data is encrypted while it is sent. What is collected can change when the ad software is updated, so please also read Google's own pages listed in section 6.
We do not receive this information and we do not control how Google and its partners process it. Depending on your region and your choices (section 9), the ads you see can be personalised or non-personalised.
4. Rewarded ads
A rewarded ad is a short video or interactive ad that you can choose to watch to get something in the game, such as continuing a run after a crash or earning bonus coins. The game never forces you to watch one.
When you finish watching, the game gives you the reward on your device. Rewarded ads are provided by Google AdMob and its advertising partners, so what sections 3 and 5 say about information collected for ads also applies to them. We do not receive information about which ads you watch.
5. Advertising identifiers and device information
The game declares the Android advertising ID permission so that ads can work. The advertising ID is a number, which you can reset, that Android gives to apps for advertising. You can reset or delete it in your phone's settings. The path is usually Settings → Google → Ads or Settings → Privacy → Ads, but it differs between phones and Android versions. If you delete it, or turn off ad personalisation, you will still see ads, but they cannot be personalised with that ID.
The ad software may also use information about your device and connection, for example the device model, Android version, screen size and connection type, so that ads fit your screen and load properly.
The game asks Android for: internet access (to load ads), network state (to check whether you are online), vibration (an optional setting in the game) and the advertising ID. The ad software also adds a few technical permissions of its own, for example to run short background tasks and read basic device or network state. The game does not ask for your camera, microphone, contacts, photos, files or precise location.
6. Third-party services
The game uses these services. They have their own privacy practices, which we do not control.
- Google AdMob and the Google Mobile Ads software: shows and measures ads.
- Google User Messaging Platform: shows the consent form and remembers your choice (section 9).
- Google Play: lets you download and update the game, and opens our store page when you tap "Rate" in the game.

7. Game progress and saved data
The game saves your progress on your phone, in the game's private storage. This includes your coins, level and stars, unlocked snakes, looks and worlds, mission progress, best scores, the daily reward streak with the date you last played (needed to count the streak), your settings (such as sound, vibration, controls and picture quality) and the size of the ad banner, which the game remembers to lay out the screen.
This data is not sent to us or to any server run by us. It contains no name, email address or advertising ID. Android backup is turned off for the game, so Google's backup service does not copy it.
You can erase your progress at any time with Settings → Start over in the game. Uninstalling the game, or clearing its storage in Android settings, removes all of it.
8. Internet connection
Everything in the game except ads works without internet. The connection is used so that ads can be loaded and shown, and to open links that you tap, such as our Google Play page. If you are offline you can still play; ads simply do not load.
9. Consent and privacy choices
- Consent form. In regions where the law requires it, for example the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, the game shows Google's consent form before ads that use your data are loaded. You can accept, decline or manage your options.
- Change your mind. Where the form applies, Settings → Privacy settings in the game reopens it. The button appears only where the law requires it.
- If you decline. You may still see ads, but they should be limited or non-personalised.
- Your phone's settings. You can reset or delete your advertising ID and turn off ad personalisation in Android and in your Google account (section 5).
- No ads at all. Playing offline stops ads from loading.
11. Data security
We keep no personal data on servers, so there is none for us to lose. Your game data stays in the game's private storage on your phone, which other apps cannot normally read. Google states that data collected by its ad software is encrypted while it is sent. No method is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.
12. Children's privacy
Snake Shift is made for people aged 13 and over. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
In some countries the age at which a person may agree to the use of their personal data is higher than 13. Please follow the rules of your country and ask a parent or guardian when needed.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child under 13 is using the game, please uninstall it, which removes the game data from the phone, and contact us at the address in section 15 so we can help.
13. Your rights
Because we do not collect or hold personal information about you, we usually have nothing to give you, correct or delete. You stay in control:
- Erase your game progress, or uninstall the game (section 7).
- Reset or delete your advertising ID and manage ad personalisation (sections 5 and 9).
- Change your consent choice where the form applies (section 9).
Depending on where you live, the law may give you rights over personal information held by Google or its advertising partners, for example to see, correct, delete or object to its use. You can use these rights with Google through the pages listed in section 6. If you send us a request, we will reply and, where needed, point you to the right company.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy, for example when we change the ad service or add features. The new version will be published at this web address with a new effective date. For important changes we may also mention it in the game's "What's new" notes on Google Play.
